One factor that affects acne is the improper cleaning of your face. As we rage the age of puberty, we experience having the annoying acnes, whiteheads and blackheads. If your skin is acne prone, then you are most likely to have blackheads. Acne is a skin complication that almost every teenager will encounter. Typically, it is a skin breakout caused by pores blockage. It may show up on the face, shoulders, neck, chest and back characterized by blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. Acne is also characterized by cysts and nodules.

Recently a study conducted by dermatologist Alan Shalita, MD, confirmed that nearly half of all women experience acne flare-ups during the week preceding their period. This is known as hormonal acne.
