The causes behind acne
Acne occurs when pores becomes blocked by a oil known as Sebum. With regular washing and hygiene maintenance, Sebum keeps the skin and hair smooth, only becoming oily when washing becomes irregular. When going though the various stages of growing up, the body’s hormone levels can spike and cause it to manufacture more Sebum than it requires. The ‘T zone’ (the forehead, nose and chin) is where acne usually becomes most common, This is where acne usually strikes first and the hardest.

How Can I Get My Acne to Stop?
I wash my face twice a day, and have been doing so for about two months now with Clean and Clear (which has those little beads that scrub at the dead skin and %2 Salicylic acid) and I shave with a brand new razor to prevent bacteria from spreading, but my acne will not calm down. It has actually gotten worse since I’ve come to college (which doensn’t exactly help my confidence levels :/ ) Should I go for Proactiv or another treatment?
