How to Find the Right Treatment for Acne
Because acne can make your skin and hair look oily, people wrongly think that it is caused by eating lots of fatty foods, or by a lack of hygiene or exercise. In fact lots of young people with acne wash even more regularly to keep their skin clean.
Acne has baffled doctors and dermatologists for years and finding an acne skin treatment that works is not easy. Common causes of acne can be : some medications and steroids , heavy or oily make up, astringent facial products can dry the skin out causing the body to create even more sebum to compensate, use of harsh exfoliators can damage existing spots and spread infection, picking or squeezing of blackheads, whiteheads and spots can send the infection deeper into the skin and cause scarring, or a diet high in unhealthy foods can aggravate acne.
The best defense against acne is to treat your skin gently by choosing the right treatment for acne. Also, do not pick, squeeze or rub your acne and keep your fingers off your face. If you want to make a real difference in a shorter time, focus on changing your habits and lifestyle first. These simple suggestions are a must: drink eight full glasses of water each day, get enough rest and sleep, engage on regular exercises, and eat lots of healthy food.
When Do You Stop Using Acne Med? When to Stop Paying for Dermatologists, but Keep Receiving Your Perscription?
I’ve had many many pimples so I went to my dermatologist and he perscribed me medication to treat it, so i began using it and I’ve had big results. But everytime I go to a consultation I have to pay $60 or more just to talk to him and receive a perscription. Is there a way I could keep buying my medication without having to pay so much when seeing him, by just going directly to the pharmacy or are there dermatologists where you could just go and receive perscription with little pay?
Also, can you just stop using the medication after it works? Or do you have to keep using it to prevent it?
