The Underlying Causes of Acne and Preventative Steps
Acne can be caused by numerous factors, but there are a few key causes that are very important to learn. Such factors are also responsible for pimples, whiteheads and blackheads related with acne. These all are mostly because of excessive production of sebum, obstruction of the skin orifices, action of usual skin microorganisms mostly bacteria, and inflammation of the skin. Sebaceous glands are among other causes of acne.
In retained sebum oil Propionobacterium acnes produce and replicate. Sebum offers growth and replication medium to acne bacteria. Propionobacterium acnes also attract WBCs from blood. Inflammation because of acne bacteria at the skin often appears as pimples, rashes or zits. Skin cells can be damaged by the inflammation. A slighter quantity of collagen formation results in thinning of the skin, which is appeared as depressing scars. These scars can become more rigid because of collagen production. Various hormones, diet, evolutionary biology, deficiency of the vitamins and stress are among principal causes of acne.
