Getting Fit and Losing Weight
It’s never easy to lose weight. Not all people are gifted with great genes. Most of us have trouble keeping the extra cookie from getting into our arms and thighs. You may be slender and fit during your teens, but your metabolism rate has slackened by the time you reach your thirties.
While fats and weight are in your body, it’s not a wholly physical issue. You also need to mentally win this game. You can’t finish this race to fitness if you are also not conditioned mentally.
For some, losing weight is a vicious cycle. You gain this excess pounds that you want to lose. You start to diet and exercise, but every time you see yourself with the added weight you become depress, thus leading you to eat some more and gain weight. It’s a sad, sad and very vicious cycle, indeed.
Perhaps you’re one of those who have tried every diet and exercise plan out there. You may even have swallowed different slimming pills and miracle products available in the market. But no matter what you do, your fat still won’t budge. And you wonder what you are doing wrong.
It may be a deficiency of discipline or a lack of consistency on your part, but whatever it is, it should be fixed soon because the longer you have the weight on, the worse you become depress with your lack of development. Try switching your routine if it’s boredom that’s killing your drive to work it out. Or if motivation is the problem, present yourself a prize each time you complete something, like a treat to the movies on a weekday after a rigorous jog across the town for an hour. That should help you look forward to completing your workout routine every day.
If you still can’t lose the pounds, how about giving yourself your own stimulus plan? Instead of rewarding yourself after every time you lose weight, maybe giving yourself a reward before you even start working out will work.
Because losing weight is such a vicious cycle that is both physically and mentally excruciating, it is more dismaying every time you step into a weighing scale and see that instead of losing the pounds, you are gaining more. If this is similar to your own case, then give yourself a more fit body even before you begin losing weight.
You can enroll into a health program that helps lose weight quicker or ask a physician to remove all your fats for you. After losing the pounds, then start working out. You can do to see yourself in a skinnier shape, thus giving you an idea that you in a perfect figure is achievable. This will give you an optimistic attitude to work out, and will help you get motivated to maintain your body.
The motivator plan shouldn’t be abused, though. You are giving yourself one because you want to stop the cruel cycle and begin a fitness phase with an optimistic mentality. But relying on it fully and dodging your wellness program is not the best course of action to take. Remember, you wish to lose weight to stay healthy.
