Does Anyone Know if Coconut Oil Is Non-Comedogenic or Does It Cause Cause Acne?

I’m asian, have throughout the day. I’ve tried olive oil for my face but Its expensive wherever I go. I’ve heard great rave reviews about ; people have said that it gives them softer, smoother skin, and that its a great for hair masks.

If its true, can anyone point me to an excellent yet cheap moisturizer.

But I’ve also heard people have breakouts from having coconut oil as a facial moisturizer, even as far as blisters. Can anyone explain this to me?
I’ve had terrible as long as I can remember and haven’t made them better. Usually, it starts off as good, but goes back to being bad after using a moisturizer (and in some cases, my skin has gotten worse).

I’ve heard good reviews about using oils as moisturizers, but I’m hesitant to use them because of my past experiences w/ good reviews w/ other items.

Well, I use Coconut oil often to replenish my hair but it’s a good moisturizer for very dry skin. Don’t use it for your face unless your skin is extremely dry. I dont think you get blisters from it. I often put it all over my body too and don’t get any breakouts.

I used to have terrible acne and I currently used coconut oil once in a while, but I only use it for emergencies seeing that it is fairly expensive, anyway the oil didn’t re-emerge my acne at all. If anything it helped clear it up even further because it is anti-bacterial.

You should try aloe vera gel mixed with a little bit of an oil. Preferably coconut oil because it has a natural SPF as well.

You can use the coconut oil with other stuff too.Mix the oil with a bit of pineapple and a pinch of salt. But if you are allergic to any of these things, I strongly recommend that you do not try it. But anyway, its a small piece of pineapple.First, you smush it and add it to the coconut oil then add the extremely small pinch of salt in the mixture. Then little by little take the mixture and rub it on your face. This will help with dry skin and it will open up the pores.

coconut oil is good for hair.. but when it falls on your face…as we have dust particles on face… they create pimples… so specially for those who have oily skin… coconut oil doesnt suit… better avoid and test….you will see the difference…. use Aveeno moisturizer but not the one for oily skin… it should keep your sking a bit dry and try washing your face as many times as you can… atleast try wiping it off with some facial tissue or neutrogena wet tissues…..

if you have oily skin why do you apply oil on your face? you’d only break out more. just clean your face and try an oil free moisturizer. i have oily skin and dont use moisturizers. just night creams at night. i use ponds. virgin coconut oil is good as body oil and hair conditioning. we even drink it since its been known as a cure for aids., and no i dont have aids… :-) good luck. the less you tinkle with your face the better. keep it simple. use water, soap and astringent.
