Acne Free

As we all know, acne is a very unpleasant condition, which can be both embarrassing and painful. This leads many to spend hundreds of dollars and many trips to the doctor and pharmacy in search of a cure for the dreaded affliction.

Of the thousands of over the counter and prescription medicines that are currently available for the treatment of acne, most contain very harmful chemicals. For those who are health conscious, a natural acne treatment may be more suitable.

Many options exist for the health conscious consumer including tea tree oil, sulfur, aloe Vera, and certain herbs. Each of these treatment options have their own purpose, in the following paragraphs you will learn what purpose each have.

Tea tree oil is probably the most well know, and arguably the most effective natural acne treatment available. It was first used by Aboriginals in Australia for the treatment of infection, because it contains antimicrobial agents. Because of this, it can also be used to kill acne causing bacteria.

I also like herbs for the same reason that I like tea tree oil, because they have a very long track record. Some of the herbs that I have successfully used to treat acne are yellow dock, sandalwood, and sarsaparilla. In the next few paragraphs I will go into detail for each.

Sandalwood and sarsaparilla are both great treatments for acne. I have used both, and I have had wonderful results; here is how I used them. I chopped them with a kitchen knife and mixed them together to form a paste. Next, I applied it topically to the affected area, which reduced swelling.

Aloe Vera really does not need an explanation, but I will go ahead anyway. This is a wonderful plant, which has many uses. I have used it to treat acne many times, and it always works without fail. Just slice a leave down the middle to expose the slimy part, and apply topically.

With the use of some or all of these, you should be well on your way to successfully treating and overcoming the acne that has pelages you. Please do use caution, because you may be allergic to some of these natural treatments. If you are unsure, consult with your doctor.
