Acne can be defined as a skin condition that normally involves the oil glands of the skin particularly on the face. Acne does not cause any known harm but it causes people to have scars on their skin that may not fade away very easily. An oily substance containing dead cells is produced by the glands and it flows through skin follicles all the way to the surface of the skin. Normally, the dead cells are simply cleaned off and they leave the skin. If there is something blocking the surface of the skin, lumps appear beneath the skin known as pimples. Acne is mainly a recurring problem to people from the age of eleven to about thirty. This is attributed by scientist to be due to hormonal changes in the body.

Most people with acne reach for creams or lotions as a first option in a bid to get the acne to go away. Nevertheless, what most people do not realize is that the creams and lotions can actually aggravate the situation. They include toxins and other harsh ingredients that are designed to make the acne hide under the surface of the skin. When they stop using the lotion or cream, the effect is no longer there and the acne simply shows up again.

One quick way to cure acne is eating a balanced diet and providing the body with all the nutrients that are essential. This fast acne cure does not suppress the symptoms but rather takes care of them before they become inflamed. Some of the oils used do not help in this cleansing process because they block the follicle pores. Most of these oils are unrefined and therefore still have many unnecessary oils in them. The easiest way to get rid of excess oils from the body is through the skin.

Another quick way to treat acne is cleansing the skin and exfoliating it. This means trying to clean from under the surface of the skin and removing the particles that are blocking the surface. It is advisable to wash the face gently using very mild cleansers as scrubbing it only aggravates the situation and causes more pimples to appear in an effort to protect the surface of the skin. Exfoliation eliminates dead cells on the skins surface that tend to form a layer. To keep skin irritation at a minimum exfoliation should only take place every 3 to 4 days. Removing the dead skin layer helps unclog the skin pores and therefore ensures that the excess oils being removed by the follicles are actually extracted.
